The landscape of marketing is something that is always rapidly evolving. Now, digital marketing is not only a significant part of the marketing mix, in many cases it is the marketing mix – and digital is playing an increasingly essential role in business growth.

Which is why we are so excited to introduce our newest team member Digital Marketing Manager, Dominika, who brings a breadth of experience in SEO, paid media, analytics and content marketing to help us drive success for our partners and our Topodium Group ecosystem.

With an MA in Psychology, CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, we are thrilled to welcome her as part of our ever growing team of skills, expertise and talent.

Dominika is a fan of all things history and politics, with a passion for the arts and creative industries too. For Dominka, knowledge and understanding context is the best way to go above and beyond your specialism, which is something we cannot wait for her to bring to the table here at Topodium Group.

Welcome to the team, Dominika! Tell us a bit about yourself.

Thank you! I’m very glad to become part of the Topodium team.

My passion for marketing and digital has started early on and has been there for as long as I can remember. During the course of my career I had a chance to work with a multitude of agencies and teams. This has broadened my understanding of the digital landscape and provided me with confidence in terms of what is essential in achieving organisational and strategic goals, and providing partners with the service they need. All these experiences brought me where I am now – I’m here for the journey!

What makes you excited about your new role as Digital Marketing Manager within Topodium Group?

I’m very happy to join the Topodium Group during a time of rapid expansion and contribute to all the compelling projects we have in the pipeline now. I look forward to new challenges and can’t wait to support our partners in their digital efforts.

What has been your proudest moment in your career so far?

Leading the new product launch of COLOP e-mark® – a mobile device based on RMPT technology which achieved multiple awards for innovative design and basically disrupted the printing industry.

Who would you say are your professional and personal role models?

When it comes to business and marketing, there are a lot of interesting and motivating figures I draw inspiration from every day. In terms of personal role models, my parents have always been a big inspiration to me. They are both incredibly entrepreneurial in nature, talented in multiple fields and have always been keen to make sacrifices to build a family business. My father gave up his ambitious university career to set up the company which has grown exponentially over the years. Whenever there was an opportunity or a new market for products and services, my parents were there to make the most of it. It taught me to be proactive and determined in everything I endure.

How do you feel the digital landscape has impacted businesses, particularly businesses in sports, health and fitness, and leisure?

In the world of increasingly empowered and sophisticated consumers, digital offers the possibility of creating real-time interactions, building strong and lasting relationships as well as driving superior customer service.

Thanks to opportunities lying in innovation, businesses in the sports, health and fitness, and leisure industries can now form communities, engage customers on a daily basis, transcend their traditional offer and become even more agile in response to ever-changing market requirements.

As lifestyles change, so do consumer needs. Change happens rapidly, which means brands need to act accordingly. By staying alert and utilising online data the industry has become more confident in providing clients with products they actually need, use and love.

Lastly, the digital landscape has become a powerful engine to influence people’s lives and choices, shaping the new generation of digital natives.

What are you currently reading, watching or listening to?

Making the Podium podcast is my favourite at the moment! It’s inspiring to hear how business leaders and innovators embrace the power of digital transformation and drive change within the industry.

What is your favourite trend (past or present) in Digital Marketing?

I think that would be the rise and adoption of global video social platforms such as TikTok and Reels. They have now become an integral part of the process of generating awareness, increasing purchase intent and engaging users. TikTok is continuously expanding its advertising options which creates more opportunities for brands within the sports, health and fitness, and leisure industries to build relationships and encourage an open and authentic dialogue with their customers.

If your life was a movie, what would it be titled and which actor would play you?

I bet it would be a comedy starring Jennifer Lawrence or Jennifer Aniston – they are both very natural and funny in their own way. I’m not sure about the title yet!

What are the key attributes that you believe are essential to a successful career in marketing?

Drive, ambition, business acumen, commercial awareness and entrepreneurial spirit. Openness to new experiences and new perspectives. Creativity in generating ideas and solutions. Being able to strategise and see opportunities where others don’t. And finally, as in any other career – big focus on achieving excellence and not feeling discouraged by bumps along the way. As everything we experience in life – be it positive or negative – it is a learning curve.

What do you like to do to unwind and relax when you aren’t working?

I’m a busybody and a natural explorer so outside work you would find me either hiking or discovering new places. As the current situation has disrupted regular international travel, I’m enjoying our beautiful English landscape. Photography is my passion and a creative outlet so I might also spend my free time taking and editing photos or testing new applications.

If you could go back in time to any point in history, which time period would you choose and why?

That’s a tough one! I think that would be the medieval period and the times of Viking conquests – I’m fascinated with anything Viking-related!

What is the best career lesson you’ve learned so far?

Collaboration and trust are key in achieving success and moving projects forward. Great results always come from excellent teams which put their partners first.
